Business Corner June 2018

The end of May thru the first week if June was show time in Las Vegas. Both the Word Wide Traders and the IWJG had very good attendance. The Las Vegas Antique and Jewelry show that followed was busy. Prices on Rolex watches were high with both buyers and sellers reluctant to deal. We could be at the top of the market.
The trade war could have profound effect on the U.S. and world markets. On the plus side, things are looking up with North Korea.

WHAT’S HOT AND WHAT’S NOT
Rolex Daytona watches continue to be very hot. However, I am seeing prices for vintage models with some resistance to holding their high prices. I think this market could be going down, as many of these trading between dealers are not going on an end user’s wrist. Preowned ladies 26mm Rolex in all metals are very soft. The women continue to want bigger watches. Older Cartier Panther watches are very cold, as well the Tank Francaise. However the medium and large Ballon Bleu models are doing very well.
The pocket watch market is dead except for very high end complicated ones.
